[1]Background and classification
GCCF’s Russian includes blue, black and white cats, a broader colour range than registries that recognise only Russian Blue.
[1]Appearance and coat
A graceful body has long legs, small oval feet and a long tapering tail. A short wedge-shaped face carries large ears and green almond-shaped eyes. The fine dense double coat stands away from the body.
[1]Coat and comparisons
Blue coats have silvery tips, black coats a glossy finish and white coats a white ground. Shared head shape and coat density matter alongside colour; grey fur alone does not identify a Russian.
