Temperament
Loyal, Intelligent, Versatile
[3]Background and human relationship
Rooted in native dogs that accompanied Indigenous people hunting in Taiwan’s mountains, it also serves as a watchdog and companion.
[1]Build and coat
A medium muscular dog with a triangular head, almond eyes, thin erect ears and sickle tail. Its clean outline invites comparison of head, tail and body proportions with other erect-eared Asian dogs.
[1]Colour and comparisons
Colours include black, brindle, fawn and white, plus white with black, fawn or brindle. The extent of white and striping within coloured areas are distinct observations; white combinations are explicitly included by JKC.
