Bullmastiff

Temperament
Loyal, Affectionate, Brave
[3]Background and human relationship
Developed in nineteenth-century Britain for guarding game estates at night, from bulldog and mastiff backgrounds reflected in its name. It is distinct from the Mastiff.
[1]Build and coat
Powerful and substantial but balanced and active. Muscle, chest depth and limb placement matter beyond weight alone, and can be compared with the larger Mastiff.
[1]Colour and comparisons
Fawn, red and brindle occur, with a required black muzzle and dark eye surroundings. Limited chest white is allowed; ground colour, stripes and facial mask are separate features.
