Norwich Terrier

Temperament
Alert, Curious, Loyal, Affectionate, Gregarious
[3]Background and classification
British Norwich Terriers originally included prick and drop ears when recognised in 1932. The drop-eared Norfolk split in 1964, while prick-eared dogs retained Norwich.
[1]Appearance and coat
Among the smallest terriers, Norwich has a low compact body with substantial bone. Upright ears give an alert expression and distinguish it from the related Norfolk.
[1]Coat and comparisons
Red, wheaten, black-and-tan and grizzle overlap Norfolk colours. White markings are undesirable. Coat colour alone therefore does not distinguish the two breeds.
