The Toy Poodle is one of the Poodle’s three size varieties, alongside Standard and Miniature. The AKC places it at no more than 10 inches at the shoulder, with the same basic build and proportions as the other varieties.

The ideal outline is nearly square, with balanced muscle and sound movement. Its small size does not change the active, elegant Poodle type described by the standard.
[2]A dense coat that can be curly or corded
The coat is abundant and curly or corded, and the breed is known for traditional clips. AKC describes both the elaborate show clip and the shorter sporting clip that follows the body’s outline.
