[3]A scenthound from Greece
The FCI gives Greece as the origin and describes a medium scenthound that hunts alone or in a pack using its scent and endurance, across lowlands, mountains and rocky terrain.
[1]A slightly longer, lean build
The FCI standard gives a body about 10 percent longer than it is tall, with a deep chest and slightly tucked belly. Its movement is swift and light, and the tail is carried in a sabre shape.
[1]A short black-and-tan coat
The coat is short, dense and close-fitting. The colour is black and tan; the FCI standard tolerates only a small white patch on the chest.
