Beagle Harrier

Temperament
Energetic, Determined, Loyal
[1]A French pack hound with an uncertain family tree
The UKC standard says the Beagle Harrier was developed in 19th-century France to hunt hare or deer in packs. It also says the exact origin is uncertain: the dogs may have been crosses of Beagles and Harriers, or a middle-sized type between them.
[1]Between a Beagle and a Harrier in size
FCI places it among medium-sized scenthounds, with a height of 45–50 cm. UKC describes a small foxhound type between the smaller Beagle and larger Harrier.
[2]A flat coat with tricolour patterns
The coat is thick, flat and not too short. The standard tricolour combines fawn, black and white, while the FCI standard also accepts grey tricolours and white-grey dogs without disqualification or penalty for color alone.
