[2]A flock-driving dog
The UKC standard describes a flock driver from the Catalonian Pyrenees and also notes its guardian role.
[1]A slightly elongated herding dog
UKC describes a medium-sized, slightly elongated dog with a broad chest reaching the elbows. The hind legs carry double bony dewclaws, and membranes join the toes, features specified in that standard.
[1]A long rough coat with mixed-color hairs
The long outer coat is flat or slightly wavy, with brows that leave the eyes visible, a beard and a moustache. Mixed hairs create an apparently solid colour at a distance. UKC accepts fawn, sable, grey and black/tan; only a few white hairs on the chest or toes are tolerated, with white or black patches prohibited.
[1]FCI size and white-hair conditions
The FCI standard gives heights of 47–55 cm for males and 45–53 cm for females. It tolerates a few white hairs forming a chest star or on the upper toes, provided they are not accompanied by white nails; these are distinguished from white or black patches.
