[3]A pointer for fields, woods and water
The FCI standard identifies Slovakia as its origin and describes a pointer fit for work on plains, in woods and in water, especially searching for and retrieving wounded game after the shot.
[1]Body proportions vary by sex
Body length to height is 10:9 in males and 10:8 in females, so the body is longer than tall. FCI height is 62–68 cm for males and 57–64 cm for females, with a solid working build that avoids heaviness.
[1]A harsh grey coat and moustache
A short, fine undercoat sits beneath a harsh, flat topcoat about 4 cm long; longer, softer hair forms a moustache. The basic color is brown-shaded grey, with white markings on the legs or chest and larger or speckled grey patches also described.
