Clumber Spaniel
Temperament
Mellow, Amusing, Gentlemanly
[3]Background and human relationship
Associated with breeding at Britain’s Clumber Park, with a reported French background. This established British gundog has a heavier build and slower working pace than many spaniels.
[1]Build and coat
A strongly boned robust dog, expected to remain capable of a full day’s field work. Width and substance contrast with the more streamlined Field Spaniel.
[1]Colour and comparisons
Predominantly white with preferred lemon or permitted orange markings, limited head markings and muzzle flecking. It differs in colour and distribution from the rich red-and-white Welsh Springer.
