Polish Lowland Sheepdog
Temperament
Confident, Lively, Clever
[3]Background and human relationship
A Polish dog used for herding and guarding, with interest spreading elsewhere in Europe during the 1960s. Proposed links to the Bearded Collie do not establish every similar shaggy dog as the same lineage.
[1]Build and coat
A medium, compact muscular body is covered by long dense hair. Coat outline can obscure the build beneath, making coat volume and actual body size separate comparisons with dogs such as the Schapendoes.
[1]Colour and comparisons
JKC allows all colours and markings. Self-colours and large contrasting patches illustrate its range; no single colour is made an essential breed identifier apart from build and coat.
