[1]Also called the Welsh Foxhound

[1]A hound for rugged Welsh terrain
It is a sturdy, independent scent hound suited to rocky hills. The UKC standard says a loud voice is essential for hunting on windy Welsh hillsides and describes a tireless galloping gait.
[1]A medium rough coat in varied colors
It has long drooping ears and usually a dense, medium-length rough coat, although a smooth coat also occurs. The standard accepts black, fawn, red, tan, white and mixed colors.
