Italian Pointing Dog

Temperament
Intelligent, Affectionate, Enthusiastic
[3]Background and classification
An Italian bird dog adapted from net hunting to gun work, also known as Bracco Italiano. Similar dogs appear in fourteenth-century paintings, reflecting its long history.
[1]Appearance and coat
Strong and balanced, with developed muscle, clean limbs and a sculpted head, particularly beneath the eyes. Its coat gives a different face and body outline from the rough-coated Italian Spinone.
[1]Coat and comparisons
White, white with orange, dark amber or chestnut patches, and white with pale-orange or chestnut flecking are listed. A symmetrical facial mask is preferred but not required.
