Drentsche Partridge Dog
Temperament
Loyal, Intelligent, Friendly
[3]Background and human relationship
A Dutch gundog traced to the sixteenth century, named for partridge. It searches and retrieves game on land and in water. Partridge Dog and the Dutch-derived Patrijshond names refer to the same breed.
[1]Build and coat
A balanced, clean muscular build has drop ears with abundant wavy outer hair. Head and body proportions offer comparisons with other gundogs, including the distinct Small Munsterlander.
[1]Colour and comparisons
White carries brown markings, sometimes with ticking, and brown ears and eye areas. UKC permits roan and a solid mantle while distinguishing these from preferred patterns.
