[3]A Spitz breed developed in Germany
The FCI standard names it “Eurasier (Eurasian)” and says development began in 1960 by crossing Chow Chows with Wolfspitz. Samoyed was added later, and Julius Wipfel is named as the founder.
[1]A calm companion closely linked to family
This is a balanced, medium-sized Spitz. The FCI standard describes a calm dog that stays watchful without being noisy and forms a strong bond with its family; it calls for close domestic contact with people.
[1]A dense undercoat and medium-long guard hair
The coat has a thick undercoat and medium-long straight guard hairs, with longer feathering on the tail and legs. The FCI standard permits all colors and combinations except pure white and piebald.
[1]Height, weight and a slightly longer body
The FCI standard describes a body slightly longer than its height. Males stand 52–60 cm and weigh 22–30 kg; females stand 48–56 cm and weigh 18–26 kg. It gives priority to balanced proportions and favors medium height and weight within those ranges.
