Kerry Blue Terrier

Temperament
Alert, Smart, People-oriented
[3]Background and classification
An Irish terrier associated with County Kerry, used for otter and badger hunting and vermin work. It appeared at shows in 1913 and gained a Dublin breed club in 1920.
[1]Appearance and coat
A well-proportioned muscular body has a trim terrier outline. Its soft blue coat gives a different texture from harsh-coated terriers; facial furnishings and body shape can be considered together.
[1]Coat and comparisons
Adult coats are shades of blue, with or without black points. Black and tan shades are permitted up to 18 months, making the change from a darker juvenile coat an important comparison.
