Westphalian Dachsbracke

A short-legged German scenthound
The FCI classifies it as a small German scenthound and describes it as the short-legged variety of the German Hound (Bracke). It is moderately long and sturdily built.
[1]Short legs on a compact hunting frame
The FCI standard gives a height of 30–38 cm and describes a moderately long, sturdy body. During quiet movement, the tail is carried upward in a sabre shape or hangs with a slight curve at the tip.
[1]A coarse coat with red, black and white markings
The dense, coarse coat is shorter on the head, ears and lower legs, and longer on the back, neck and underside of the tail. FCI colours are red to yellow with a black saddle or mantle and white markings on the face, collar, chest, legs and tail tip. Bicoloured dogs and black head markings are undesirable; chocolate brown is a fault.
