Picardy Sheepdog

Temperament
Loyal, Good-natured, Observant
[3]Background and human relationship
A herding dog of Picardy in northeast France, also called Berger Picard. It appeared at a French exhibition in 1863 and declined severely during both World Wars. Its earlier ancestry has competing explanations.
[1]Build and coat
A medium muscular dog, slightly longer than tall, with erect ears, rough coat and a tail curving into a light J at the tip. UKC also describes its boundary-tending herding style.
[1]Colour and comparisons
UKC describes grey and fawn shades, brindle and mixtures, with limited chest or toe white, rather than solid black or white. Rough-coat shadows are distinct from ground colour and striping.
