[4]A French scenthound
The FCI gives France as its country of origin and classifies the Porcelaine as a medium-sized scenthound. The UKC standard says it was developed to drive game toward waiting guns.
[1]Long head and low-set ears
The head is long, lean and finely sculpted. The UKC standard describes thin ears set low, curled inward and pointed at the ends, reaching to the tip of the muzzle.
[1]White ground with orange spots
The coat is smooth, fine, close-lying and shiny. The FCI standard calls for a very white ground with rounded orange spots that do not extend into a mantle; orange ticking on the ears is characteristic.
