Temperament
Bold, Brave, Alert, Faithful
[3]Background and human relationship
A hunting dog long associated with Jindo island in Korea. JKC notes the lack of documentary evidence for its ancient origins. Its regional association is distinguished from competing ancestry theories.
[1]Build and coat
A balanced medium dog with erect ears and a curled or sickle tail, combining agility and strength. Similar outlines to dogs such as the Shiba invite comparison of tail carriage and overall proportions without conflating breeds.
[1]Colour and comparisons
Colours include red-fawn, white, black, black-and-tan, wolf-grey and brindle. Warm ground colour, grey mixtures and visible stripes are different appearances, illustrating that the breed is not limited to white dogs.
