Nova Scotia Duck Tolling Retriever

Temperament
Intelligent, Affectionate, Outgoing
[3]Background and human relationship
Developed in early-nineteenth-century Nova Scotia, Canada, to toll and retrieve waterfowl. Playful movement along the bank attracts curious ducks toward the concealed hunter.
[1]Build and coat
A compact muscular medium dog with a well-feathered tail. Active work features rapid movement and the head held near back level, linking body and tail action with its waterfowling role.
[1]Colour and comparisons
Red-to-orange shades have lighter furnishings and tail underside, often with white on tail tip, feet, chest or blaze. Absence of white is not penalised in otherwise good dogs.
