Minskin

Appearance in the historical standard
The Minskin standard revised in 2008 and retained in TICA’s archive describes a small, stocky cat with short legs, a rounded head and large round eyes. Its semi-cobby body may look longer because of the short legs. This describes the historical standard.
[1]Distinctive coat density
The same 2008 standard describes short, soft, densely packed fur on the mask, ears, legs and tail, contrasting with sparser body covering. Its term “fur-points” refers to this difference in fur density; it is not treated as a claim about colour-point markings.
[1]Current registration and source dates
TICA’s rules dated 3 June 2026 list MSL Minskin as Registration Only (RE).
