[3]A dog shaped on Brazilian farms
In the FCI standard’s history, Terrier-type dogs brought to Brazil by returning families in the 19th and early 20th centuries adapted to farm life and crossed with local dogs; their type became established over a few generations.
[1]A square outline for several roles
The FCI lists small-game hunting, guarding and companionship as its uses. It is a medium-sized, slender dog with a square outline: body length is approximately equal to height at the withers.
[1]Short white coat and tan points
The coat is short, fine, smooth and close-lying. Under the FCI standard, white is the ground colour with black, blue, brown or isabella markings; tan points must appear above the eyes, on both sides of the muzzle, and inside and along the edges of the ears.
