Spanish Greyhound
Temperament
Serious-minded, Reserved
[4]Background and human relationship
A Spanish sighthound used chiefly to pursue hare by sight and speed, also known as Galgo Español. Its long Iberian association is described, without treating every breed bearing the word greyhound as identical.
[1]Build and coat
A long narrow head, deep chest, tucked belly and very long tail accompany a slightly rising back line. Fine short and harsh semi-long coats occur, combining coat differences with a shared body outline.
[1]Colour and comparisons
JKC allows all colours, listing fawn, dark brindle, black, chestnut, cinnamon, yellow, red and white, including white-marked and pied dogs. Striping, ground colour and white areas vary independently of coat texture.
