Dark Golden

The Golden Retriever standard describes rich shades of gold and says feathering may be lighter than the rest of the coat. An extremely pale or extremely dark predominant colour is undesirable, but the standard gives no numeric shade boundary. “Dark Golden” is a visual label for the darker end of the range, not a claim that the darkest shade is preferred.
