Blue Speckled

Blue Speckled is a coat category expressly accepted by the AKC Australian Cattle Dog standard. It permits black, blue or tan head markings and describes tan extending from partway up the forelegs toward the breast and throat, as well as tan on the jaws and inside the hindlegs. Black body markings are undesirable. Although the AKC registration form also lists this label for the Stumpy Tail, that breed’s FCI standard names blue or blue-mottled coats and separately Red Speckle; the standard categories are not identical.
