Mantle

This is an AKC registration colour name. In the Great Dane standard, it combines a black blanket over the body and a black skull with a white muzzle, whole or partial white neck, white chest, white on all or part of the legs, and a white tail tip. A white facial blaze is optional, and a small white break in the black blanket is acceptable. The name also appears in AKC’s mixed-breed category, for which a common marking layout has not been established.
