Dutch Markings

The Anatolian Shepherd Dog column in the January 2026 AKC Gazette groups Irish- or Dutch-marked patterns as having white feet, a white tail tip and a white collar. It offers this breed-specific example rather than separate definitions of Irish and Dutch markings. The AKC breed standard accepts all color patterns and markings equally, without specifying the width or shape of those white areas.
