The shell is sub-cylindrical. The first quarter-whorl of the teleoconch has fine, closely spaced riblets. Later axial ribs are widely spaced, strong below the suture and fade before reaching the next suture, except on the body whorl. The umbilicus is widely open and more or less circular. Material is recorded from Northern Afrotemperate Forest; the type material was sorted from leaf litter. It is recorded from the outskirts of Vryheid in north-central KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa.
