This bat is recorded in Taiwan, northeastern India, northern Myanmar, and southern China. Its dorsal fur is very dark brown to blackish gray, with gray-brown fur underneath.
The dorsal fur is dark blackish brown to blackish gray, with very dark tips. The underside is gray-brown, and the funnel-shaped ears have dark margins.
In northern Myanmar, two bats were captured in degraded lowland foothill forest with bamboo and banana plants. This habitat description is limited to the Myanmar capture records.
