The Indian Pangolin has an elongated body covered with scales. It feeds on ants and termites, and the studbook describes it as mainly nocturnal and ground-dwelling.
Large overlapping scales cover the body and tail. Sparse white or gray hairs occur on the foot pads, underside of the head and trunk, and inner sides of the limbs where scales are absent.
It is mainly terrestrial and nocturnal and feeds on ants and termites. Reported habitats include open grassland, scrub, rainforest, and areas near human settlements.
An extinction-risk assessment has not been added yet.
