This small shrew was described from the Bamenda Highlands of northwestern Cameroon. The account records dark fur and a terrestrial way of life; the specimens came from the Lake Bambili area.
The dorsal fur is dark brown and the underside becomes lighter brown toward the belly. The ears are small and rounded, and the centre of the belly is slightly lighter.
The paper describes the species as terrestrial. Its records are from around Lake Bambili in the Bamenda Highlands, but the vegetation at the exact collection points is not specified.
An extinction-risk assessment has not been added yet.
