The Red-faced Cisticola lives by water and in marshes, searching for insects in low vegetation. At the Namibian sites described, it has pale olive-gray upperparts and a white throat.
The upperparts and wings are pale olive-gray. The chin, throat, and center of the belly are white.
It is seen alone, in pairs, or in small family groups by water and in marshes. It eats insects such as beetles, ants, and caterpillars in low vegetation, and builds a nest from leaves and dry grass.
An extinction-risk assessment has not been added yet.
