Behn's bat is known from a few places in Brazil's Cerrado. Captures come from forests and savanna settings, but little is known about its life history.
Specimen EG 297 from Jalapão had gray dorsal fur and a lighter underside. The type specimen is redder, and EG 297 was also noted to resemble another species.
Detailed behavior and diet remain unknown. Captures have been recorded in mesophytic forest, gallery forest, typical Cerrado, and rocky Cerrado.
An extinction-risk assessment has not been added yet.
