The Sulawesi Goshawk is a hawk of Sulawesi and nearby islands. Its gray head and dark bars across the pale underside are useful clues to its appearance.
Adults have a gray head and brown back, with dense dark brown bars across the pale underside. Females are described as larger than males.
It waits concealed on a branch near a forest opening or path, then makes a short dive to catch prey on the ground. Its food includes lizards, small birds, large insects, and small mammals.
An extinction-risk assessment has not been added yet.
