A paper reports one vagrant adult male in Uttarakhand, northern India. This single record does not establish a regular range there.
The recorded adult male had a red throat edged by a black breast band, prominent white supercilium and moustachial stripe, and brownish-grey upperparts.
At New Forest in Dehradun, it was found in dense Lantana thickets beside a stream and sang from a Lantana branch.
An extinction-risk assessment has not been added yet.
