In adult males, the dorsum has sparse large warts, dense small wart grains and longitudinal ridges. In adult males, the tympanum is distinct and rounded. In adult males, the toes have rudimentary webbing and narrow lateral fringes. In Xiaoxi Nature Reserve, two adult males were observed calling in a crevice with flowing water on 20 March 2024. On 5 July that year, one adult male and one adult female were found on a layer of fallen leaves without calling. It has been recorded in Xiaoxi National Nature Reserve, Yongshun County, Xiangxi Autonomous Prefecture, Hunan, China.
