This whistler inhabits forests on Luzon and Mindoro in the northern Philippines. The entry follows the pool’s Pachycephala albiventris; the source notes that some taxonomies group it with related whistlers.
About 16 cm long, both sexes are alike. The crown and mantle are dull olive-green; the rump and tail are brighter olive-yellow. The face is olive-grey, the throat pale grey, the breast pale brownish-grey, and the belly white.
It inhabits forest up to 2,000 m, feeds on insects, and forages from the canopy to the understory. It sometimes joins mixed bird flocks.
An extinction-risk assessment has not been added yet.
