Temminck's flying squirrel has a black-and-brown back, a cream underside, and a broad, flattened tail. It glides at night and eats fruit and seeds.
Black rings around the eyes join a black streak toward the nose. The back is a mix of black and brown, the underside is off-white to cream, and the flattened tail has white patches.
It is nocturnal and arboreal, and glides among trees. It eats fruit and seeds and has been recorded in tropical rainforests, dry deciduous forests, and monsoon forests.
An extinction-risk assessment has not been added yet.
