The Pygmy Opossum is a small marsupial known from few specimens. Much of its natural history remains unknown, and bones have been recovered from barn owl pellets in northern Argentina.
It is a small didelphid marsupial. Few specimens are known, so the available sources do not support a general coat-color or body-shape description.
Its natural history is largely unknown. A 2006 report recovered remains from owl pellets and recorded one animal captured in tall grass at a reserve.
An extinction-risk assessment has not been added yet.
