The Madeira pipistrelle is a small bat found in the Madeira and Canary Islands. It uses habitats from forests to towns and catches flying insects.
It is a small bat, with a forearm about three centimeters long. It is active in varied places on the islands, including forests, farmland, and towns.
It catches insects in flight. On Porto Santo, the study recorded more activity near water; the paper also notes roosts in places such as tree holes, cliffs, bridges, and tunnels.
An extinction-risk assessment has not been added yet.
