This small eremomela occurs in Kenya and the Democratic Republic of the Congo. It uses the canopy of large trees, including along streams, forest edges, and clearings.
Adults have grey upperparts, a rufous forehead, white underparts, a black breast-band, and grey flanks. Juveniles are olive-brown above and show only a faint band.
It gleans invertebrates in trees. Oiseaux.net describes large trees along streams, at forest edges, and in clearings.
