This laughingthrush lives in montane forest on the Malay Peninsula. Its cinnamon-brown body, olive-yellow wings, and narrow white eye-ring stand out.
Adults are cinnamon-brown, with olive-yellow panels on the wings and silvery-gray cheeks and nape. A thin white ring surrounds the eye.
It moves near the ground in montane evergreen broadleaf forest and bamboo undergrowth. Birds forage in pairs or small groups and eat insects and seeds.
An extinction-risk assessment has not been added yet.
