Known from near Mayebout in Gabon, females of this spider have a slightly angular anterior genital plate in side view.
In the described male, the upper front-body plate is ochre-yellow with a brown rear mark and broad brown lateral margins. The underside front-body plate is dark brown.
At Mayebout, it tended to be found in hollow trees and ground cavities, while Smeringopina ogooue in the same forest was collected among tree buttresses.
Its legs are light brown with dark rings near the ends of the femora and tibiae and around the patellae; the femur and tibia tips are whitish.
Its abdomen is ochre-gray with distinct dark patterns above, on the sides, and below. Examined females are generally similar to the male.
In side view, the female anterior genital plate is slightly angular.
