This fruit bat is found on Luzon. Forearm lengths differed between mountain populations, and the proportion of captured females and males also varied with elevation in the Zambales Mountains.
Forearms measured 45–52 mm in specimens from Mount Isarog and 41–46 mm in specimens from the Zambales Mountains. The measurements differed between the sampled mountain populations.
In the Zambales survey, only females were captured at the roughly 1,100 m site, and about 90% were pregnant. Near 1,500 m, the sample included three females and eight males, and about 30% of the females were pregnant.
An extinction-risk assessment has not been added yet.
