The Baglafecht Weaver is seen in pairs, small groups, or alone in the Kenyan highlands described by the Mpala field guide. It hangs a foliage-hidden nest from a branch or frond.
The Mpala guide says both sexes have black faces and yellow eyes. It describes the crown as yellow or black among subspecies, with yellow or green edges on the wings.
The guide reports that pairs are common in the Kenyan highlands. Birds are also seen in small groups or alone, and nest alone, concealing the nest in foliage; both sexes line it.
An extinction-risk assessment has not been added yet.
