This waterside mouse uses elongated hind feet and whiskers to search for prey in water.
It has a brown back sharply contrasting with a white underside, large sparsely furred ears, elongated hind feet, and long whiskers.
At shallow water, it has been described standing on its elongated hind feet, testing the surface with its whiskers, and pouncing on prey. Aquatic invertebrates made up most stomach contents in the sampled localities.
An extinction-risk assessment has not been added yet.
