A bulbul known from very few records in Sumatra and Borneo. Its dark head and blue eye-rings stand out.
It is olive-yellow with a dark head and blue bare skin around the eyes.
Records in the eBird account are limited to two sites in Borneo and one in Sumatra. It says the species' ecology and behavior remain largely unknown.
One record associated it with Black-headed Bulbuls at a fruiting tree; this does not establish a regular association.
