The White-eyed Parakeet is a medium-sized parrot that is mainly green. Red markings on the neck vary widely and may be barely visible. In South America, it feeds on fruit and other foods in flocks.
The body is mostly green. Red spots may appear on the neck, but their amount varies and they can be absent. The bill is pale, and the underside of the wing is patterned red and yellow.
Flocks of several dozen or more perch in trees and feed on fruits and seeds. The birds use tree holes for nesting and may roost together at night.
An extinction-risk assessment has not been added yet.
