This spider is known from southern Ethiopia and Somalia, with variation in the extent of dark markings among males.
The described Nech Sar male has distinct brown marks along the middle and sides of the upper front body, with a brown sternum bearing pale spots underneath.
At Nech Sar it has been found in houses. Sof Omar records include Acacia trees, beneath stones, cliffs, riversides and crevices inside limestone caves.
Its abdomen is pale grey with a distinct dark dorsal pattern. Underneath, three lines run through the central area, the middle one broken, with a transverse mark farther back.
Its thigh and shin segments have dark rings near their ends and pale tips.
Some males have much less dark pattern, including specimens without lateral marks on the upper front body or without the central line underneath the abdomen.
An extinction-risk assessment has not been added yet.
